Choose Language:

MEI will be unveiling an exciting new addition to its AWP industry offering at ATEI 2007. The MEI GEO note acceptor boasts the superior level of reliability for which MEI products have become renowned, coupled with a modest cost.

Developed in collaboration with a partner firm, VTI, MEI is setting the standard for entry-level products in the stackerless amusement and mid-level gaming markets with the MEI GEO. The new note acceptor will be a private label development, drawing on MEI’s significant experience in algorithm development and international currency research. According to Michael Lazoff, Global Strategic Marketing Manager for MEI: “We identified the need for a stackerless multi-width product that could be a foundation for amusement and entry-level gaming solutions.”

He continued: “VTI's product, in combination with the reach and international currency expertise of MEI, has resulted in a note acceptor which is both cost-effective and has the high level of reliability and performance our customers would expect.”

Bob Mackenzie, director of MEI Gaming Engineering, has also been involved with the development of MEI GEO. “Players clearly prefer cash for amusement gaming devices. The MEI GEO unit offers the reliability and ease of operation that our customers expect in a stackerless footprint. It has been wonderful to work closely with a partner organisation such as VTI to provide higher performance in a value oriented product.”

MEI will be sharing a stand (number 1720) with Brent Electronic at ATEI, its distributor in the UK and Ireland for the CASHFLOW™ range of note and coin acceptors. European Gaming Director, Mark Greenawalt said: “We are very excited to be launching the MEI GEO at ATEI 2007. We have drawn on our years of experience with note readers for the casino industry to provide the AWP market with a product which matches our high standards of reliability, and is also value for money. As always, our European team will be available on the stand to welcome all visitors and demonstrate the benefits of our products.”
